"We are conservative in that we resist changes happen to us (Aquas don't generally want to admit this)."
I want to underline this. People sometimes seem to forget that, maybe because Uranus was given modern rulership to Aquarius.
But basically Aquarians are fixed signs and of course as you mentioned traditionally ruled by Saturn. They are not at all unpredictable or changeable, as several astrologers make them out to be.
My Dad is an Aquarius with Venus-Jupiter-conjunction in that sign also (his Moon is in Taurus). My Mum is a Scorpio with Mercury in Scorpio and ASC in Cancer (they both have common ground in Virgo - his Saturn/ASC, her Moon, Venus, Mars). It works quite well, though there IS a temperamental air-water-difference between them, but they are still very much in love. After 40 years! lol
Also I really do not any man, more committed, loyal, steadfast and dedicated to my mum and the family than my Dad (and actually also to the organization he is working for in his free time now, and before just as loyal to his workplace).
PEople seem to underestimate the loyalty and fixedness of Aquarians.
I am a bit of both, actually. Sun (and ASC, Mercury, Mars, NN) in Sagittarius and Moon in Aquarius.
I am not changeable or fickle at all.
I actually share a lot of placements with Britney Spears I think. lol
But nope, not like her.
As for the Sag-Aquarius-pairing I actually knew one. They have been a committed couple for 7 years. As far as know none of them cheated, they just fell out of love and wanted different things in their life.
I have a suspicion though that maybe the femala Aqua was ready to take the relationship to anotherī level (maybe including marriage and children) and maybe the male Sag wasn`t quite as ready to do that. I donīt know for sure though.
However, he having a stellium in Sagittarius (Sun, Moon, Mercury), she having a Stellium in Aquarius (Sun, Moon, Venus, Jupiter). Most of these were actually sextile each other.
As far as I know they are still on talking terms and being able to be friendly with each other after the breakup (though it took some time to get there again). Maybe it helps if you are friends before anything else.
The male Sag actually has a very earthy relationship pattern, despite his luminaries being in Sag, and with the exception of some celebrities that is what I noticed in real life, too. Sags with Venus in Capricorn or Scorpio, especially if there is a tight aspect to Saturn and sometimes Pluto, and no square, conjunction or opposition to Uranus, tend to cheat a lot less than Sags with Venus in Sag as well for example.
But I also noticed that a Sag will only stay in a relationship when it is either fun or he genuinely sincerely feels the person is the best fit for him, and there is noone else out there possibly more amazing.
If doubts creep into, he usually wll move on before long.
Of course this is also a generalized view, just sharing some observations I made.
